Minto is designed with privacy in mind.

Your expenses, income records, budgets, categories, notes, and other financial information are stored locally on your device.

We do not routinely collect or store your complete financial records on our servers. However, when you choose to use AI-powered features, the transaction text or voice transcript you provide is securely transmitted to Minto's servers for processing as described in the AI-Powered Features section below.

Information Collected Automatically

To help maintain and improve the app, we may collect limited technical information, such as:

• Device type and operating system
• App version
• Crash reports and diagnostics
• Anonymous usage analytics
• Subscription and purchase status

This information helps us improve app stability, performance, and user experience.

We use collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the app
• Process AI-powered transaction requests
• Improve performance and reliability
• Diagnose crashes and technical issues
• Support subscription management
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

Minto offers optional AI-powered features, including voice-based transaction entry, natural language transaction entry, transaction categorization, and smart insights.

When you choose to use these features, the transaction text you enter or the text transcript generated from your voice input is securely transmitted to Minto's servers and processed using one or more third-party AI service providers.

At this time, Minto uses OpenAI to process AI-powered transaction requests, including converting transaction text or voice transcripts into structured transaction details.

The information you provide may include transaction descriptions, merchant names, amounts, dates, currencies, categories, notes, and any other details you choose to provide.

This information is used solely to provide the requested AI-powered functionality, such as generating structured transaction details.

Before any information is transmitted for AI processing, Minto asks for your consent. If you choose not to provide consent, you can continue using the app's non-AI features.

Raw voice audio is not transmitted to or retained by Minto. Only the resulting text transcript is processed.

Minto does not use information submitted through AI-powered features to train public AI models.

Your financial and transaction data is stored locally on your device.

If you uninstall the app or clear its data, locally stored information may be permanently removed unless you have created your own backups through device-level backup services.

We take reasonable measures to protect the information associated with the app.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Minto may use trusted third-party services to support app functionality, including:

• Analytics
• Crash reporting
• Subscription and payment processing
• Artificial intelligence services, including OpenAI for current AI transaction processing

These providers may process limited information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Subscriptions and in-app purchases may be processed through Apple App Store, Google Play, or other authorized payment providers.

We do not receive or store your full payment card information. Payment information is handled directly by the applicable payment provider.

Minto is not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
